DENNIS TULLY (harp) is the harp player of the Hipshake Blues Band. Born and raised on the East Coast, he moved from Rhode Island to California in the early 1970s. His musical influences on amplified harmonica are Little Walter Jacobs, Paul Butterfield, Sonny Boy Williamson, and James Cotton.. Dennis also plays guitar and bass, and cites Otis Rush, Freddie King, Albert Collins, and Michael Bloomfield as influences. Dennis was an original member of the Nite Creepers and played guitar and harp with the Bullfrog Blues Band, both of Santa Cruz, CA. He joins Hipshake with high expectations of continuing their tradition of using fine harp players to deliver their signature “hip shaking” sound.
